Jaipur city is the capital of India's largest state Rajasthan. Jaipur is the second largest city of Rajasthan after Jodhpur metropolis. Jaipur is also called Pink City or Pink City, it was first called Pink City by Stanley Reed. Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh of Amer. Jaipur was given the status of World Heritage City by UNESCO in July 2019. The city is surrounded by the Aravalli ranges on three sides. Jaipur city is identified by the pink Dholpuri stones used in its palaces and old houses, which is the specialty of the architecture here. In 1876, the then Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh had decorated the entire city in pink color to welcome Prince Albert of Wales, Queen Elizabeth of England. Since then the city has been named Pink City. This city was named Jaipur after the name of King Jai Singh II. Jaipur is also part of India's tourist circuit, the Golden Triangle. This Golden Triangle includes Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. When we look at their position in the map of India, it takes the shape of a triangle. For this reason, it is called the Golden Triangle of India. The distance from the federal capital Delhi to Jaipur is 280 kilometers. The city is surrounded by walls and ramparts on all sides, with seven gates for entry.
